Prediction of System Reliability

Any object in the reliability theory can be considered as an element or as a system consisting of elements that form a certain structure in the sense of reliability. According to the structure of the system where mechanical failures occur, they are divided into consecutive (Fig. 4.1a) and fault-tolerant, including parallel ones (Fig. 4.1b) and those which have a reserve of survivability (Fig. 4.1c). When analyzing systems, it is necessary to distinguish the structure in a constructive-functional sense and in terms of reliability.
