Abstract

Complementarity is another one of those phrases that intimidates beginners without adding much to quantum theory. It is easily confused with duality, because neither of these expressions is clearly defined in most expositions. But whatever might be meant is mostly irrelevant to the everyday business of quantum theory, which has to do with Schrödinger’s equation and its solutions.
