In the previous chapter, we considered the interaction between two spherical current sources separated by a distance 2a. In general, the lack of spherical symmetry made it difficult to obtain analytical solutions. However, by decreasing the size of one of those spheres and placing it at the center of the other, we obtain a symmetric configuration which permits analytical solutions to the kinds of problems encountered for the asymmetric configuration.
