Abstract

Emerita Professor Valerie Brown. Her careers as a prolific author, educator, researcher and policy expert have often been linked by one common feature—the blank canvas. She has been responsible for taking on numerous institutional, sector-wide and government initiatives to establish (from scratch) ways of knowing and doing. Her work on collective thinking defined a period of her scholarly output, but she has now moved beyond to explore Independent Thinking.
