Abstract

Laparoscopic right colectomy involves resection of the terminal ileum and right colon with creation of an ileocolic anastomosis. It is performed for pathology of the terminal ileum or right colon such as neoplasia, volvulus, arterial venous malformations, or Crohn’s disease.
