The Rotational Transform of Wavefield

The rotationaltransform of wavefields provides numerical propagation between non-parallel planes. This non-traditional technique is based on the angular spectrum method, as with the convolution-based propagation method discussed in Chap.  6. Therefore the rotational transform is performed with a double Fourier transform and resampling the wavefield, and thus practical enough for various applications in wave optics. Not only formulas but also the pseudocode for software implementation and actual examples are presented in this chapter.
