Abstract

Three themes dominate this chapter. First, a review of factors that trigger the morphing of a crisis and subsequent triggering of a crisis-stream illustrates the diverse nature of these stimuli. Next, the fallout associated with the mismanagement, misconduct, or negligence illustrates the damage organizations experience with a crisis and subsequent crisis-stream. Finally, culpability for a crisis’ emergence is not limited to line or executive management but is traceable to those in advisory positions as well.
