Healthcare and the Sharing Economy

The sharing economy has expanded rapidly in the last decade, with startups such as Uber and Airbnb providing consumers access to shared goods and services, in convenient and low-cost ways. This article highlights how sharing economy principles are turning ownership models of assets in healthcare upside down, and how a sharing mindset can provide answers to some of the major challenges facing the industry today.
