Abstract

In 1906 the Italian economist Pareto observed that 20% of the Italian population possessed 80% of the land, and, looking at other countries, virtually the same seemed to be true. The Pareto principle is currently used to identify the main factors of multifactorial outcomes. Pareto charts is available in SPSS, and this chapter is to assess whether it is useful, not only in marketing science, but also in medicine.
