Development of Project Managers’ Creative Potential: Determination of Components and Results of Research

Abstract

The article gives a description of the creative potential, problems of its formation, development and effective use in the formation and implementation of the strategy of innovation development of Ukrainian enterprises. Earlier it was believed that the development of creative potential is a task of psychology, but nowadays more and more scientists are paying attention to the development of creative potential from the point of view of competence in project management. This is due to the fact that the project management industry is developing and there are new characteristics that affect the work of the team and the enterprise as a whole. Our study showed that only 11 competencies were identified by experts as a set of competences that impacted the development of creative potential. Of course, in some cases, there may be more criteria, but in most cases 11 competencies will suffice. We also investigated the priority of these competencies (criteria), the ways of their development, and provided methodological recommendations on how to improve them.
