Abstract

Perennial wetland herb with thin, richly branched rhizomes. Stem slender, decumbent to ascending, smooth, 20–60 cm high. Leaves 4–6 per whorl, linear-oblong to narrowly elliptic, rounded at apex. Flowers in terminal panicles, corolla white, 4-lobed. Fruit is a pair of black nutlets, with wrinkly surface.
