Abstract

Perennial wetland herb, tufted. Stem glabrous, bluish green, thin, feeble, ascending, 5–35 cm long. Basal leaves rounded to reniform, usually with 7 lobes, lobes dentate on the margin. Inflorescence is a rather lax compound cyme, tetramerous flowers relatively large (5–6 mm in diameter), no petals, hypanthium shortly campanulate. Fruit is an ovoid achene, smooth and brown.
