Abstract

Perennial wetland herb. Stem hollow, ascending to erect, branched, glabrous below, glandular- pubescent above, 25–50 cm high. Leaves opposite, glabrous, broadly ovate, margin dentate. Inflorescence a raceme, flowers with upper and lower lips, corolla deep yellow or with red spots on lower lip, up to 4 cm long. Seeds ellipsoid, base narrowed with hilum.
