Abstract

Mediterranean-Atlantic distribution, also W. Asia. Native to DE and PL. Occurs along the coast, on coastal rocks and seabird cliffs, saltmarshes, on sand beaches, in sandy waste places near sea, also on salty soils inland. Prefers nutrient-enriched sites. Halophyte. Gynodioecious.
