Methodological Bases of the Assessment of Sustainable Development of Industrial Enterprises (Technological Approach)

In the article, the authors address the issue of methodological approaches to an assessment of the level of sustainable development of industrial enterprises. Authors analyzed already existing approaches and found that most often researchers use the generalized integral indicator in the areas of economic, environmental and social sustainability. At the present stage, the importance of technologies and technological transformations for industrial enterprises increases so much that makes it possible to speak about the need to include this approach when assessing the level of sustainable development. Therefore, the authors in the framework of the study proposed to allocate technological stability and evaluate it with the help of a separate integral indicator. The effectiveness of an assessment of sustainable development depends on clearly defined goals and objectives of sustainable development, and it is proposed that a targeted approach should be used, making it possible to assess the extent to which the qualitative and quantitative objectives have been achieved.

It was found that the application of the generalized integral indicator requires an objective, deeply grounded and logically built methodology. Working on this methodology for industrial enterprises, it is necessary to take into account the current trends. The proposed methodology includes five stages and is a structured model with data, has a flexible support structure, which, if necessary, can be supplemented and increased taking into account features of primary and boundary conditions of business activity of the enterprise and specifics of established goals.
