In this final chapter, the authors reiterate their arguments for a new approach to understanding how leadership works. They describe the fundamental challenge faced by all traditional leadership competency models—that they ignore the role context plays in determining the impact of competencies. They introduce as a solution their Leadership Operating System (OS) model. And they argue that the model represents a more realistic and honest approach to leadership.
