Abstract

  • Urticaria pigmentosa lesions are cutaneous manifestations of mastocytosis and appear as small yellowish-tan to reddish-brown macules or slightly raised papules and plaques

  • Rubbing of the skin lesions in urticaria pigmentosa usually leads to urtication and erythema over and around the macules, known as Darier’s sign

  • Diagnosis should be confirmed by skin biopsy
