Abstract

This paper is based on practical experience collected during many years of the intervention maintenance on optical cables. Analyzed data are relating to the practical measurement and statistical data which considers interference on optical cables. In addition, a comparative analysis of the cable characteristics was made. Tested cables were laid recently into ground and some of them even 16 years ago.
