Reflections on Interactive Planning Decisions
Charting the way forward for the future is the visionary stance of this chapter. It is virtually a response to the pressing need for services by way of recommending a model that could be used to effectively facilitate service generation and delivery in order to reduce spatial inequality. The visionary stance revolves around using spatial planning effectively as a tool to address inequality in service delivery both in qualitative and quantitative terms. In this regard, this chapter forms the epilogue of the book but also offers some practical recommendations on service generation and delivery. Hence this chapter discusses these proposed recommendations in the context of the country’s unique history. However, in articulating these recommendations, cognisance is also given to a myriad of competing factors that can derail or complement the successful implementation these recommendations is also.
