In the insane vortex of the black hole interior, then, time’s arrow is twisted like a pretzel. If intelligence in the distant future ever learns to ride those currents—perhaps by the deliberate construction of a naked singularity, or a Tipler time gate (see below)—time travel may become commonplace. The ultimate absurdity of science fiction will be a matter of mundane fact.
