Abstract

In addition to the semi-quantitative determination of cell counts in urine sediment, cell counting in the Fuchs-Rosenthal counting chamber is a proven method that is still valid today for the determination of erythrocyte and leukocyte counts per microliter.

It represents a high-precision and readily reproducible cell counting method in native urine. With the help of detailed instructions and photographic images, this laboratory investigation is easily understood.

Keywords
