Abstract

One of the very important questions in the new concept of distributed sources of electrical energy is how to find out frequency of rotating generators to match it to inverter synchronization requirements. The information about generator angular speed is crucial for synchronization process that is needed to avoid flow of high values of equalizing currents. In the paper VisualDSP++ 5.0 simulation results are presented, followed by experimental tests of the fast Fourier transform software function with VSI inverter connected to the self-excited synchronous generator.
