Rashba Effect in Topological Quantum Wells

  • Vladimir Litvinov
Chapter

Abstract

The chapter deals with the zero magnetic field spin-splitting in topological quantum wells. It is shown that the splitting acquires specific features if the bulk is in the non-trivial topological phase.

Keywords

Topological quantum wells Rashba spin-splitting Spin-momentum locked states Quantum well electron states in topological insulators Zero magnetic field spin-splitting in topological insulators Rashba effect in topological insulators Quantum wells in inverted band semiconductors Band inversion and Rashba interaction
