Abstract

The elaboration on finance and ethics finishes by highlighting the indistinguishable convergence of these two areas in practice and the still retained acknowledgements of such a link in the academic world. Once again, the challenges from climate change and the need to contribute to sustainable development are emphasized. If finance and capital markets really are required to contribute to ethical, environmental, social, and governance issues, transparencies, and proofs of the output, outcome and impact of financial transactions are essential. Otherwise sustainable, green, socially responsible or impact finance pay nothing more than lip service and undermine the credibility of actions that promise to be ethical outcomes.
