Smart Selection of Materials for Product Prototype Fabrication

Abstract

A fuzzy expert system is proposed for a smart selection of materials for fabrication of specific parts for products. Knowledge of expert used for selection materials is encapsulated in a fuzzy rule base, using a hierarchical form. As a case of study, a selection of materials is made for case fabrication where durability, low price, and resistance is considered as criteria selection. The fuzzy system for smart selection can be used in a variety of materials.
