Abstract

This concluding chapter points to some of the dramatic events of the past two years that have come to affect the structures and processes of contemporary globalization within which the chapters of this volume have been embedded. It poses the dilemma that the contributors of this volume wrote the papers that became these chapters within an international/global environment that changed radically beginning in the months following the completion of the seminar meeting/conference that gave rise to them.
