Mobile Phone

  • Gerard O’Regan

A mobile phone is a wireless handheld device that allows a user to make or receive calls over a radio frequency link while the user is moving within an area serviced by a mobile service provider. It is a paradigm shift from communication between places to communication between people. The earliest mobile phones were large, bulky devices with limited features, whereas smartphones have web browsers, email, cameras, GPS, and so on.
