Pollution Victim

  • Fabio Anile

The following chapter will focus on the legal status of victims of pollution under EU legislation. The complex background created through the interweaving of concepts of the environment and of environmental damages will be considered. The main issues highlighted relate to if and how protection for victims of pollution has been considered and redefined through measures introduced in EU law and the legal interpretations of the Court of Justice.
