Crater-Hopping: Observing the Moon on Day 15: Full Moon

  • Robert A. Garfinkle

Full Moon The glories and wonderment of the full moon have been written about in mythology, literature, and poetry for centuries, but for observers of the Moon, this is probably the most difficult time to study our satellite. The difficulty arises from the combination of brightness and the lack of contrast in the central portions of the lunar disk, but this is also a great time to explore the eastern and western limb regions.
