Abstract

A land treatment demonstration was conducted at a former wood-treatment plant in Montana, as part of the RCRA closure process, for disposal of 16,000 cubic yards of creosote-contaminated sludges and soils. The primary hazardous constituents in the waste are polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).
