Pilot-Scale Biological Treatment of Contaminated Groundwater at an Abandoned Wood Treatment Plant
Chapter
Abstract
A pilot-scale fixed-film biological reactor was designed and installed by Remediation Technologies, Inc. at an abandoned wood treating plant to degrade contaminants present in groundwater and in storm waters. Wood preservatives used at the plant were creosote, pentachlorophenol (PCP), and chromated copper arsenate (CCA).
