Loschmidt’s Reversibility Argument and the H-Theorem

Abstract

As with any other scientific activity Loschmidt’s reversibility argument1 has both a factual and a historical context. The latter will be amply described in other contributions to this Symposium. Thus I will concentrate exclusively on how we view Loschmidt’s argument from a present-day perspective.
