Abstract

A note on the autonomic nervous system. Our smooth muscles (viscera, vessels, and our whole lymphatic system) are stimulated in their automatism by the autonomic nervous system which consists of two complementary and antagonistic parts: the orthosympathetic and the parasympathetic, together with the hypothalamus and the vagus nerve.
