The Curvature of Digital Illustration: Spline Curves
Chapter
First Online:
Abstract
Now that we have installed Inkscape and covered some of those low-level 2D vector illustration concepts, including vertices; and the straight lines that can connect these vertices together to form polygons; and the algorithmically generated circles, ellipses, and arcs, we can get into the more complex Bézier spline curves that are the mainstay of both 2D and 3D geometry modeling pipelines (work processes).
