Effects of intercalation on properties of transition metal dichalcogenides
Chapter
Abstract
The effects of intercalation on the host structure and on the optical and transport properties of the transition metal dichalcogenides will be discussed. Modification of properties, for example optical absorption, can be used to monitor intercalation kinetics and staging in some systems. Some recent work on intercalation kinetics will be discussed.
