Abstract

C.jejuni has been shown to be a major cause of human gastroenteritis1. The pathogenic mechanisms of C.jejuni diarrhoea are not yet clarified. Invasiveness, enterotoxin production and elaboration of cytotoxin have been suggested as potential pathogenicity factors5.
