Abstract

This chapter suggests that schools are being strangled by a closed educational system. The internal environment culture dimension is created by forces generated here and in the other five dimensions (the culture of the external environment, formal and informal leadership, strategies, structure, and results). Activities carried out and/or blocked in each dimension have taught teachers to protect what they value, their vision of a good classroom.
