Abstract

Many monomers which are reluctant to homopolymerize are often found to be capable of undergoing rapid copolymerization reactions with one another. Thus if a strong electron donating monomer is mixed with a strong electron acceptor, regular alternating copolymers may be formed either by spontaneous initiation or more commonly in the presence of a free radical initiator, uv, or γ radiation.
