Abstract

High Tc dc SQUIDs based on bi-crystal and template bi-epitaxial grain boundary junctions and ramp-type Josephson junctions have been prepared, showing flux-to-voltage modulation at 77 K. The critical current, normal state resistance, junction capacitance, SQUID modulation and noise properties are compared. Multiturn coils with dimensions suitable for application in flux transformers have been prepared operating up to 84.9 K.
