Manufacturing of Liquid Helium Free Superconducting Magnets for Industrial Use

Abstract

About ten kinds of liquid helium free superconducting magnets (HFSM) have been fabricated in the last three years by Toshiba. These magnets are used for research, magnetic separation and a single crystal growers. We have shipped about thirty sets of HFSMs. The cold mass which is cooled by GM refrigerator down to 4 K level has been increased up to nearly one ton recently.
