Equipment Used for Measuring Activity
Chapter
Abstract
Because measurements are taken with instruments, it is paramount that we review presently available devices for the measurement of activity. Emphasis will be given to human ambulatory activity because such measurements have the greatest clinical relevance in that they can be obtained longitudinally from the person’s natural environment. Selected devices used in animal research will also be reviewed.
