Thermoelectricity in Liquid Metals: A Review of Experimental Methods

Abstract

This paper reviews various methods that have been used to date to measure the thermopowers of liquid metals, commenting on the relative advantages and disadvantages of each. Those experimental factors which are rather unique to liquid metal systems are highlighted. The methods presented span the range of temperatures from room temperature to about 1500°C.
