Magnesium Porphyrin Sensitized Reduction of Viologen Sulfonate in Reverse Micelles

The photoelectron transfer from magnesium tetraphenyl porphyrin to viologen sulfonate in reverse micelles has been observed. The electron transfer rate constant and the intermicellar exchange rate constant have been determined. The latter depends on the water content in the water pool.
