Injection Locking of CW Ring Gas Lasers

Abstract

The study of the non-linear characteritics of a regenerative oscillator under the influence of an external signal originates with the pioneering work of Adler1, and since, the subject of “injection locking” has been refined by a number of authors2–4. Although the general analysis applies to almost any kind of self-sustained periodic oscillator, it has become of significant practical importance with the development of a wide variety of solid-state negative resistance microwave devices5.
