Abstract

When an entirely new factory is to be built many factors must be taken into account in its planning. Of fundamental importance are the choice of site, the nature of the construction materials, the general layout and the various services required. Obviously the financial implications are of paramount importance too, although it would be inappropriate to discuss this aspect here.
