Programming in Pascal

Abstract

In this chapter the main features of Pascal which will be used throughout the book are summarised. It is assumed that the reader has some acquaintance with the elements of Pascal programming (there are useful introductory texts, for example, by Findlay and Watt (1978) and Wilson and Addyman (1978)). Our programs will as far as possible follow the standard defined in the Pascal User Manual and Report by Jensen and Wirth (1978).
