Abstract

In Chapters 3 and 4, a review was made of research evidence providing knowledge of various cerebral cortical activities and their possible behavioral correlates. When damage or dysfunction occurs in the cortical layers or the neural connections between various cortical areas, it usually impairs the specific sensory, intellectual, or neuromuscular behaviors maximally dependent on these loci.
