Abstract

Combat stress reaction (CSR) is one of the most elusive of psychiatric disorders. Unlike other emotional disorders, CSR is not defined by any necessary and sufficient combination of symptoms. Disorders such as depression, paranoia, posttraumatic stress disorder, and others all have typical clinical pictures that can be used for diagnostic and treatment purposes. CSR does not.
