Abstract

After the “World Health Day 1972” with the slogan “Your Heart is Your Health”, announced by WHO and ISC, considerable effort has been undertaken world-wide to control themajor cardiovascular diseases, especially by preventive measures. Taking increasingly into consideration that cardiovascular disease is a social epidemic spreading from man to man and to women, from parent to chi ld , and from culture to culture it became obvious: there are life habits that have to be changed. On this way, it might be possible to keep those diseases from appearing, stopping them when already going on, and even reversing their progression. But this is not a simple vaccination like in some communicable diseases!
