Effect of Impurities on the Working Ability of Ti-6A1-4V Type Alloy
The aim of the investigation was to define more exactly the existing specifications on the content of silicon, oxygen, carbon and iron impurities in BT6C alloy. During the investigation, the primary attention was given to the evaluation of the impurities effect on the basic parameters determining the operational strength and reliability of the alloy, as well as low-cycle fatigue resistance as a function of the stress concentrator.
